Innovation is about Connection

We often focus so much on what we are building that we forget who we are building it for. A story isn't just a way to present information; it’s a way to build empathy.

A story makes your audience feel the friction of the current struggle and the relief of the future resolution. That emotional resonance is what turns a ”maybe” into a “yes.” And you don't need to be a novelist; you just need to care about the person at the other end of your solution.

Storytelling is all around us whether we embrace the opportunity or not

What’s your North Star for this product?

🤪

To be the most user-friendly and scalable solution in the market.

😍

The goal is the Invisible Interface. A user should finish weekly reporting before their coffee gets cold. Right now it’s lukewarm—next year, it’s three clicks. That is the metric that matters.

What’s the catch with this strategy?

🤨

There’s no catch—we just need total commitment.

👊

The catch is the first 30 days. It’ll feel slower—like learning to drive stick. We’re going to stall a few times. But once the muscle memory sets in, we move at a pace the old system couldn't touch.

How will we know this worked?

🫡

When adoption increases.

🤩

We’ll know it worked when support stops getting ‘how do I start?’ tickets and starts getting questions about what people can do next.

From Chatbot Capability to Operational Confidence

AI adoption was meant to reduce load. Instead, it increased anxiety.

A VP of Operations watched a help-center chatbot technically succeed while operational trust quietly eroded. Every improvement triggered more approvals. Every edge case required human oversight. The bot worked — but responsibility never moved.

The pivot came when the team stopped asking how capable the AI was and asked when the work would finally feel calm.

They reframed the effort around ownership and handoff, not intelligence. Automation had clear edges. Humans knew exactly when they were needed — and when they weren’t.

Decisions began to stick. The roadmap shrank. Anxiety dropped.

The system didn’t replace judgment.
It created confidence.
